Was admitted Freeman 18 May 1631; selectman 1637, 1639, 1640; representative (first court) 1634, 1635, 1636; was a llietenant and served under Captain Daniel Patrick in 1632. One of the purchasers of Greenwich, CT while residing in Watertown. On May 25 1636 he was appointed to the group to keep the court for the towns that afterward became the county of MIddlesex, NJ.51
