51520. John FULLER, son of 103040. William FULLER. Born 1460/1469 in Redenhall, Norfolk, England. John died in 1511; he was 51. Occupation: Yeoman.
Only known son of William Fuller. Born at Redenhall, Norfolk, England and married Alice (?) and had five children. Records indicate he served as freeman on jury 1482 and 1488. In 1508 he was granted a deed to land at Redenhall. A copy of this is in the British Museum in London (Egerton MSS, 2713), in Latin, during the reign of Henry VII who ruled 1485-1509. His will was dated 1511.
Ca 1480 when John was 20, he married Alice UNKNOWN.

During his lifetime the town of Forwich was freed of the restrictions imposed by the Abbot of St. Augustine’s and the town was encouraged to rebuild its Court Hall on the banks of the Stour which was accomplished in 1555. The building was still standing at the writing of this reference in 1909. As he frequently signed the minutes of the Court, it is presumed he presided, possibly as senior Jurat. He was a “Key Keeper of the Town Chest.” (The chest was for safekeeping of town deeds and records.)
Firt record if him is as a witness to a land grant in Nutley, Hampshire in 1453. He is seen again in a post-mortem land search concerning lands in Nutley belonging to Joan OGDEN, probably his wife, in 1457.
